The purpose of the ASA is to create a sense of belonging and family amongst both domestic and international African students at UOIT/DC campus. We plan to assist with a comfortable transition into university life (and Canada) for both domestic and international African students in UOIT/DC. This will be achieved by creating awareness and reaching out to students through social media and school activities.

As the Bangladeshi Student Association, our purpose is to present the culture of Bangladesh amongst the multicultural community of UOIT & DC. Through hosting our events around campus, we hope to introduce students to a new culture and allow them to explore our arts, food, languages, and tradition. Anyone interested in joining does not have to be from a Bangladeshi background as we are open to any students from all ethnicities and/or cultures at the UOIT & DC campus. We aspire to not only make the Bangladeshi population feel comfortable but for all students wanting to join or learn about our culture to feel welcome and a part of our group.
